About Braeden Sloan

Originally from Philly, PA, I now study at the University of Colorado in Boulder. Being raised by a family of artists, I was able to get an early start on my creativity and began to grow a passion for art. A few family members that have inspired me include: Nicole Edmund, Jeanette Pasin Sloan, Jack Lemmon (Landfall Press), and Morgan Sloan. From a young age I have always loved drawing. I especially like drawing humans and particularly portraits. In high school I joined AP Art Studio and found my love for oil paints. Since then, in 2014, I have been painting portraits in oils and experimenting with realism. My current journey with CU Boulder has given me more time to figure out my personal style and technique that I hope you all enjoy!

Since being at CU, I have develop new skills in intaglio and monotype printmaking, black and white film photography, metalwork, drawing, as well as painting. As well I have started my own business of creating and selling jewelry.
